March Beauty Favorites

Today I'm sharing the beauty products I've used and enjoyed in the month of March. As the days have become longer, my skin has been feeling a lot better than the last freezing months. As a result my skin isn't in desperate need to be moisturized and my lips to be smothered in lip balm 24/7, woho!

This month's beauty favorites is just a handful, and what surprised me was that half of the products are Asian products and half of them are not (not intended), which I think is very interesting. So let's talk about my early Spring faves!

Radiant Creamy Concealer 'Chantilly'
Let's start with my most recent beauty purchase! I've been eyeing this concealer from Nars for a couple of months now, and when my trusty old Fit Me Concealer that I've been buying for years finally had been all used up, I saw it as a sign to try something new.

This thing really deserves all the compliments it's getting! At first glance, I was unsure of how well it was going to blend with my naturally dry skin since it has a very high coverage. However, with a bit of moisture on the face before applying, this works like a charm! It lasts all day and doesn't dry out my skin. The texture is really gentle and has a luxury-feeling to it. I'm in love with this thing and I'm definitely adding this one to the list of my make up essentials.

Almond Milk & Honey Calming & Protecting Hand Cream
In the beginning of March I started using this hand cream from The Body Shop, a gift from my friend Cleo on my birthday. I really needed something a bit lighter after using a very heavy hand cream during the first two months of the year, and as Spring was just around the corner this couldn't have been more perfectly timed as it was! It's handbag friendly which I love, and the texture is quite lightweight and "runny" which might not be preferred at first, but it really speeds up the process of absorbing into your skin. My favorite thing about this little fella though, is the lovely smell! If you're a fan of mild and fresh scents, try it out!

Candy K Gloss and Exposed Lip Liner
I've always wanted to try something from Kylie Cosmetics and so a couple of months ago I splurged on a couple of them and today I'd like to mention two of my favorites! As much as I love using the lip liner and the lip gloss in the same shade, in March I really loved the combination of the Candy K Gloss and the Exposed Lip Liner. The two together makes a great combination of a light undertone but with a filling touch that really gives you a flirty and sophisticated look. These are so well-made, moisturizing, long lasting and simply just so worthwhile. If you're looking for good quality lip products, this is the brand for you.

Hair Oil Essence
Oil Essence by Mira Beaute is a beauty product I picked up on my travels in Japan. It was really at this time that my hair stylist in Japan noticed how damaged my hair really was and recommended to purchase some kind of oil essence for my hair. I was so pleased when I found this product at the department store of Loft, as this product can take on my thick hair like it's no big deal at all. I do use a larger bottle during my evening routine, but this tiny travel-size version has really been saving my hair from the past month with all its changing weathers and storms.

Green Grape Fresh Light Pact 'No. 13'
A couple of friends have been raving about this Korean skincare and cosmetic brand Skin Food, which you can easily find at more than a few places in Japan as well. I've always had troubles finding a finishing powder that was pale enough for my skin, and when I stumbled upon this I knew I had to try it out. The product is very lightweight and blends well with my skin, and it comes in this very petite and cute packaging! Usually I'm not a fan of cute packaging, but this one had a nice neutral and fresh feel to it that I just couldn't resist trying it out. I'm not sure if I'd buy it again in the future, but it has really been serving me well since the start of this year and will continue to do so.

Lavender Face Mask
Recently I've been really enjoying using face masks during bad skin days or days when my skin has been lacking in shine and that healthy look. These face masks from LuLuLun has really been helping my skin out with its various face mask with different lovely flowers or herbs as ingredients. My favorite is definitely this lavender one, as it's so fresh and calming at the same time. I bought these at the department store of Loft, in Japan.

So these have been my beauty favorites for the month of March! I'm looking forward to more lightweight make up for the upcoming Spring and even perhaps a tan (and not a burn, please). Some of these products I'll continue to use all the way into Summer, and some will be swapped for more Summer-friendly essentials. Nevertheless, I love all of these products! I hope you've enjoyed reading about my favorites of March 2017 and if you have any beauty recommendations please let me know!
