May Beauty Favorites

The beauties I've used and loved in May is a modest bunch but nevertheless definitely worth sharing. This month was all about the fresh scents and that clean face.

The part of my body which hates final exams the most is my skin, especially my face. However two of these favorites have really been keeping my skin in place, while adding a freshness. So let's get to the May beauty talk!

Rice Mask Wash Off
My number one go to in the mornings when I want to turn my face into a soft and clean baby skin. When I have more time in the mornings I'd usually go for something a bit more heavy, like the face masks from Lush, but this one is quick as well as light-weight. I usually leave it on for about 15 minutes and then rinse it off with cold water. The texture is really soft (despite the name), and the scent is so subtle and pleasing which is really suitable for mornings when you need an extra kick! When it comes to good face masks Skin Food is a brand I always turn to so I recommend them highly.

Daisy Eau So Fresh
This was my signature perfume for a long time, and somehow I always go back to it. It's a very girly scent, and some may think it's too flowery, however I think it's the greatest mix of scents. It's every fruit you've ever liked mixed together with wild roses and apple blossoms. Why I've loved using this in May has simply got to do with how spoiled we've been with the weather this month. It's been sunny, and warm. And yes, some days it's been really windy or super cold but most days of this month it's been great. Therefore, spraying this on those summer days doesn't just bring back so many memories of my teenage days, but also this lovely fragrance just makes me smile.

(If there's a fragrance that gets a lot of compliments, it's this one!)

Fuji Green Tea Body Butter
This body butter from The Body Shop is truly heaven. I usually use this after the shower and I really try and focus on my elbows, knees, legs and feet as these are the areas which tends to be a bit drier than the rest. I love the Springy scent and it really leaves your body feeling refreshed and healthy, which is probably due to it containing green tea. Usually I'm not a great fan of the body butters from The Body Shop since they tend to have a thicker texture which I'm not very fond of, but this is very light-weight and smooth! If you're looking for a new body lotion, definitely have a go at this one.

Cleanse and Care Face Cleansing Milk
Not too long ago I slept at my friend's place and she had this amazing cleansing routine in the evening and made me try it out. I was impressed over the therapeutic feeling of it and how much better I slept that night. Inspired by this, I decided to try this face cleansing milk from Nivea to add to my daily evening routine. It hasn't failed me thus far and even on the days where I've had more make up on than usual it's been removing it like a piece of cake. It removes your waterproof mascara as well as that eyeliner you thought was permanent. It's very gentle on the skin and after rinsing it feels like your skin has been thoroughly moisturized. This was the hero to my skin acting up during my final exam week.

Fresh & Clean Wet Wipes
You can find these little handy guys in any of my purses or bags. These are perfect for when you've been out and about all day and you're about to eat at a restaurant and you feel like your hands are a pile of dirt, before putting lotion on your hands, going to a public bathroom and so on. I don't know if they exactly smell like cucumber, but they have a crisp and fresh smell which is very appropriate. I'm not afraid of germs, but getting sick during May was just not something I had the time for so these were definitely the protectors of that! You can get them at any Swedish drug store or food chain.

Staying healthy and taking care of your body is something I think everyone struggles with during final exams, and even though I'm guilty of that too these products have really made my life easier the past month. The reason why I'm sharing them with you are because though they seem like small tools to your every day life, they are all uplifting products which sometimes can really make a tough day a very good one. I hope you've enjoyed reading about my beauty favorites of May and always feel free to recommend me products you think is worth checking out!
